旧世代向けのMinecraftの開発は終了したようです。
MojangはNightcore Before ChrismasマッシュアップパックのリリースでMinecraftの前世代機種版に別れを告げました。

Minecraftは2009年のゲームリリース以来、無数のパッチや追加コンテンツを開発してきましたが、旧世代ゲーム機でのプレイヤー減少を理由に旧世代機種版の開発終了となったようです。
マインクラフト：コンソールエディションの移植スタジオである４J StudiosはTwitter上で旧世代の開発キットの返却の様子をツイートしています。
コンソール版について
TU73 (the final update) for Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition will be out later today, adding The Nightmare Before Christmas Mash-up Pack.

Minecraftはゲーム機ではXbox 360で2012年に初めにリリースされました。 それから合計73回のタイトルアップデートを行い、今回のアップデートで開発終了となったようです。
なお、Xbox OneやNintendo Switch版についてはBedrock Editionへと移行しており、今後も開発が継続されます。 またPS4版・New3DS版は今のところBedrockへの移行の予定はありませんが、開発は継続されます。
